Organised by the Irish Chamber of Commerce, the annual Ireland Singapore Golf Invitational attracts more than 100 golfers representing both international and local business professionals here in Singapore. This year the event will be held on Friday November 24th 2017.
TAKE HOME THE CUP: At stake is the The Singapore Ireland Golf Invitational Cup made by award- winning Irish woodturner, Chris Sweeney at his studio in Ballina, Co. Mayo. The Cup is made from Burr Elm which is a growth that can form on an Elm tree and is hand-textured and ebonized with gold inlay.
PRIZES: Not only will teams be thrashing it out for the CUP - they'll be doing their best to win some great prizes including a Golfing holiday in Ireland.
NOVELTY CHALLENGES: In addition we will be challenging golfers to hit one out of the park to take home a great prize for the longest drive; and aim for the flag to snatch another great spot prize for nearest the pin.
HOW THE DAY RUNS:
- 12:00pm Registration and lunch in the tournament room
- 1:00pm Proceed to Buggy Area for rules re-cap and event photo-op
- 1:15pm Marshall will direct you from here to your starting hole
- 1:30pm Shotgun start
- 6:30pm Pre-dinner reception
- 7:30pm Dinner is served
- 8:45pm Prize-giving, entertainment
- 10.00pm Ends
